Doctor of Biology
Marina Butskhrikidze graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Tbilisi State University in 1973, specializing in human and animal physiology. In 1997 she defended the thesis on the following topic: "The role of hypothalamic-pituitary neurohormones in long-term memory organization", and she was awarded the academic degree of doctor of biology sciences.
Since 1973, she works for Iv. Beritashvili Institute of Physiology, first in the radiobiology and then neuroendocrineology laboratory. Currently she works as a senior research scientist at Neurophysiology Department of Iv. Beriatashvili Experimental Biomedicine Center.
She has been giving lectures since 1990. She has worked as aნ Associate Professor at Berthashvili Medical Institute "Medicore", Davit Aghmashenebeli University, and the higher institution- "Education Academy".
In 2014 she joined theTeam of European University, Faculty of Medicine.She leads the course of physiology and pathological physiology.

2008-2010 - Grant of National Science Foundation (GNSF - 238) -Pregnancy: Hyperactive Brain Protection or Risk Factor - The main performer; 2002-2003 Grant of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia "Electrophysiological examination of non-hypothalamic links of supraoptic nuclei producing vaporospinin-oxytocin hypothalamus" (researcher); 2000-2001 - Grant of the Georgian Academy of Sciences - "biological clock electrophysiological examination" of Hypothalamus neuroscrewic vasopressin producing suprachiasmatic organism (researcher); 1998-1999 Grant of the State Science Committee of Scientific Technologies: Neuronidocracy System and Stress; She has certificates from each international conference she has participated in.
Marina Butskhrikidze - Member of Federation of European Neuroscientists Society (FENS) - is an author of a number of scientific papers, including 60 articles and 70 thesis. Marina Butskhrikidze is a member of the Association of Georgian Neuroscience, a member of the International Brain Research Institute (IBRO).
